You should therefore look for a USB replacement. FireWire is itself effectively abandoned. I would certainly not expect it to work with 10.10 aka El Capitan never mind anything newer than that and we are now on 10.13 aka High Sierra.Not only is this product long discontinued with support for it having stopped many, many years ago but no Mac for the last several years has shipped with FireWire built-in. However beyond that the chances drop. Less confidently I think there is a good chance it would work unofficially with 10.8 aka Mountain Lion and maybe 10.9 aka Mavericks.
